Symptoms: Pain, itching, reduced hearing

Treatment: Antibiotic ear drops, oral antibiotics if severe

Caused by pressure changes during descent/ascent

Ear pain, sinus pain, or tooth pain

Prevention: Equalize early and often, do not dive congested

Serious condition requiring immediate medical attention

Symptoms: Joint pain, numbness, dizziness, difficulty breathing

If suspected: Do NOT fly, seek hyperbaric chamber immediately
