Terms of Service & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. Role of this Website

Doctor Bali (this website) is a marketing and referral platform that connects travelers, tourists, and residents in Bali with independent licensed medical practitioners who provide home-visit consultations. We are not a medical clinic, not an insurance provider, and not an employer of the doctors.

When you book through this website, you enter into a direct medical services agreement with the independent attending doctor and their practice. Medical diagnosis, treatment, medication dispensing, final pricing, invoicing, and follow-up care are the sole responsibility of the attending doctor.

2. Pricing

All prices displayed on this website are starting estimates for a standard home visit within central Bali during standard hours (8 AM to 10 PM). Prices shown cover the doctor's travel, basic examination, and initial diagnosis.

The final price is set by the attending doctor on-site and may be higher than the starting estimate based on, but not limited to:

  • Medications prescribed and dispensed on-site (antibiotics, analgesics, anti-nausea, antihistamines, prescription drugs, etc.)
  • IV fluids, vitamin blends, and injectables
  • Specialized consumables such as sutures, sterile dressings, tetanus vaccines, or diagnostic strips
  • Laboratory tests, rapid diagnostic tests, or referrals
  • Extended consultation time beyond the standard session
  • Travel surcharges for locations outside Canggu, Seminyak, Kuta, Ubud, Sanur, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, and Uluwatu
  • Late-night and early-morning surcharges (10 PM – 8 AM)

By booking a visit you acknowledge that the starting estimate is indicative only and that the final invoice will reflect the actual medical services rendered.

3. Payment

Payment is collected on-site by the attending doctor at the end of the visit. Accepted payment methods typically include cash (IDR), bank transfer, GoPay, OVO, and Dana. Card payments may be available depending on the doctor; confirm before the visit.

The attending doctor issues a medical receipt that can be submitted to your international travel insurance provider. Doctor Bali does not process payments and does not hold card data.

4. Cancellation Policy

Bookings may be cancelled free of charge before the medical team has been dispatched. Once a doctor has been assigned and has begun travel to your location, the booking is no longer eligible for cancellation without charge.

Cancellation fee after dispatch: Rp 275.000. This fee covers the doctor's travel time and lost opportunity cost. It is payable by cash, transfer, or digital wallet before any future booking can be accepted.

If you cancel because the doctor has not arrived within a reasonable time frame (typically 90 minutes in central areas, 120 minutes in outer areas), the cancellation fee is waived.

5. No Medical Emergency Service

This service is for non-emergency medical consultations. For life-threatening emergencies such as chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, stroke symptoms, major bleeding, or loss of consciousness, do not wait for a home visit. Call the Indonesian ambulance service on 118 or go directly to the nearest hospital emergency department.

Recommended hospitals in Bali with international-standard emergency care: BIMC Kuta, BIMC Nusa Dua, Siloam Hospitals Denpasar, Sanglah General Hospital (public).

6. Licensing & Qualifications

The attending doctors dispatched through this platform hold current Indonesian medical licenses (Surat Tanda Registrasi / STR) and practice permits (Surat Izin Praktik / SIP). Licensing information can be verified at the doctor's request.

7. Patient Data

Booking a consultation requires you to share personal and medical information (name, age, location, symptoms, medical history, allergies, current medications). This information is shared only with the attending doctor for the purpose of providing the consultation. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.

8. Limitation of Liability

Doctor Bali acts as a marketing platform. We do not provide medical advice and we are not liable for the outcome of medical treatment, for prescribing decisions, for medication side effects, or for the final price charged by the attending doctor. Liability for medical outcomes rests with the attending doctor in accordance with Indonesian medical practice regulations.

Information on this website is for general informational purposes only and does not replace a professional medical consultation.

9. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version in force is the version published on this page at the moment of booking.
